William Watford Jr., 66, of Mundelein, Illinois and formerly of the Northwest Side of Chicago, passed away peacefully at his home July 17, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Gina; loving children Yolanda, Janel (Alex), Will (Sabrina) and step-daughter Ashley; cherished grandchildren Pedro, Hailee, Dominic, Elianna, Andrew, Kayla, Izabelle, Greyson and Ashton; brothers Richard (Joyce) and Sam, and sister Mary Ann (Bob); a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and dear neighbors, as well as his devoted furr babies Sammi, Saint, Spirit and Bella. William was preceded in death by parents William Sr. and Margaret, brothers Mike (Geri) and James, and sister Pat (Tom). William worked as a shipping and receiving specialist for a Chicago based steel company for 28 years. He loved motorcycles, John Wayne movies, the Chicago White Sox and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he greatly adored. He was proud to be an American and loved life in general. His hobbies included collecting all sorts of memorabilia, in which he amassed quite the collection throughout the years. He was respectfully addressed as William, Mr. Watford, Daddy-O, Dad, Old Man, Bill, Bud, Grandpa, Papa and Uncle by those who knew and loved him.
The Watford family graciously extends a special thank you to the VCare Hospice care team Karolina, Beata, Bernice and Tom; and his Help at Home agency care team Nina, Kelly and Princess, for all of your dedication and the exceptional care that you provided to Mr. Watford.
