Wilisa Marie Byrd, 42, of Chicago's Southside, formerly Calumet City, passed away March 28, 2024. Beloved wife of Maurice Calvin. Doting mother of Jamyla Fountain, James Fountain and Danielle McConnell. Adored grandma of Nova. Dear sister of April Ashford, Marcell Byrd, Madeline Jackson, Jeanette Williams, William Byrd Jr., Valerie Byrd Facen and Thalia Jackson. Longtime employee at McCormick Place. Wilisa will be remembered for her amazing cooking and baking skills, love of dancing to her favorite music and being a God fearing woman. Wilisa was a kind soul who donated her time to many different charities such as food and clothing drives, the Juneteenth BBQ Block Party and several church events. She will truly be missed.
