Thomas Bolger, age 80, of Jefferson Park and formerly from the suburb of Algonquin passed away April 10, 2020. Dearest son of the late Joseph Bolger and Marie Coffey. Loving father of Scott (Taryn) and the late Timothy. Cherished "Papa" of Tim, Ryan, Shane and Shannon. Dear brother of Joseph "Buddy" (Peggy) and the late Bernard (the late Joanie), late Patricia (the late James) Sramek and the late Mary Kay (Donald) Cullerton. Fond uncle, cousin and friend to many. Thomas had a heart of gold and touched the lives of countless number of people. Thomas worked as a painter and he was a probation officer. Later in his life he retired as a Cook County Pre-trial investigator. He will be remembered dearly by his laugh, and his numerous funny stories that he shared. He had a love for life, and treasured every single day. Thomas had a smile that could turn a bad day into a good one. He always wanted to lend a helping hand when he could. Mr. Bolger could walk through fire with a smile on his face. He was never one to complain, and had courage and resilience like no other. Tommy made the most of every day, he loved his family and friends so very much. He enjoyed the simple things, like driving around with his sunroof open, a good cup of coffee, and going out for lunch with good company. He will be greatly missed by so many and forever holds a spot in the hearts of those who crossed his path. May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. Until we meet again, may god hold you in the palm of his hand. Much love papa.
A celebration of his life to be determined at a later date and time.
