Suzanne Havertine

Suzanne Havertine, 74, of Oak Park and Chicago Illinois passed away on May 3, 2024. She is survived by many friends and family members. Suzanne was a school social worker, who spent the majority of her career at the Proviso Area for Exceptional Children (PAEC) in Maywood, IL, where she served students in the special education program as well as their families.

She was also an avid reader and loved to travel. Two years ago she completed her "bucket list" travel dream and traveled to Ireland.
Suzanne also volunteered at Housing Forward, a organization that provides housing for unhoused families. Even when she could no longer physically volunteer, she remained passionately active.  In lieu of flowers, she wished for donations to be made to Housing Forward.

A mass and celebration of life are being planned.
