Rose Marie Stone

Rose Marie Jeanette Stone, 77, of Chicago IL passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 23rd, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Rose Marie Stone (nee Gaeding) was born October 23rd, 1946 in Chicago IL. Loving mother to Michele (late Joseph Krysztopik) and Sandi Barlow; proud grandmother of Ashley, Zachary, Cecilia and Ellison: dear sister to late Richard (late Marilyn), Raymond (Dolores); late Cecille Duckmann (Albert); much loved aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Rose Marie valued her family, friends and faith above all. She was an active member of the Queen of Angels community; volunteering with the athletic board and teaching CCD. She spent many years caring for children - these families became her extended family, and she loved them as her own. She will be remembered for her kindness and humor. She brought light wherever she went. Rose Marie was courageous, a fighter who always had a positive outlook. Her strength was felt by those surrounding her until her last days. Rose Marie will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Rose Marie that will be held at Queen of Angels on September 6th at 10:00 with a mass to follow at 11:00.
