Rosa Lao Go

Rosa Lao Go, 90, Des Plaines, IL, and Quezon City, Philippines, passed away on February 10, 2025, at The Ascension St Mary's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Rosa was born on December 26, 1934 in Manila, Philippines. Rosa was the beloved wife of the late Kun Go (2003). They were married on August 5, 1956. Rosa dedicated her life to caring for Kun and their six children. Loving mother of Rosalinda Go Gibson (Craig VandeBerg), Rosana (William) Go Sy, Maryrose Go Zimmer, Peter (Jennie) Lao Go, the late Rosabeth (Reymond) Go Chieng, and the late Philip Lao Go.

Cherished Grandmother (Ama) of Billy Christian Go Sy, Paul Ray Zimmer Jr., Allan Christopher Go Sy, Mary Christine Go Zimmer, Jillian Kristel Go Sy, Jacqueline Phoebe Go-Zhang, Camille Kristine Sy Batobato, Harry Go Chieng, Ralph Kenric Go, and Riane Katlyn Go.

Dear sister of the late Domingo Lao, Luisa Lao Yap, and Juanita Lao. Especially to close family friend Susan To, and many other unnamed friends.

Kun and Rosa maintained a textile store in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. They later immigrated to the United States, where they lived with their daughters, Rosalinda and Maryrose. Late in life, Rosa suffered from Dementia and became immobile from the waist down during her last year. Rosa became totally dependent on daughters Rosalinda and Maryrose, plus son-in-law Reymond. for all her activities of daily life. Rosa's death was attributed to septic shock, aspiration pneumonia, and macrocytic anemia.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband, Kun, and youngest son, Philip, both in Quezon City, Philippines, and middle daughter, Rosabeth Go Chieng, Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Inurnment will be at the Go Kun Family Crypt in Manila Memorial Cemetery, Sucat, Paranaque, Philippines,
