Richard Parr Hechler

Richard Parr Hechler, 90, of Glenview, IL and formerly Naples, FL and Glencoe, IL was called home to be at peace with his Savior on July 9, 2024. Loving father of Laura (Chuck) Welkner and Valerie Muse. Cherished brother of the late Valentine Hechler and Robert (Jean) Hechler. Dear uncle of Robert Hechler and Sharon Rinaldo. 

Richard proudly served in the US Army. He was a devoted employee with IBM and AT&T in mainframe computer and business to business sales. Richard was also a committed civil servant and served on various boards and committees including the CTA, NORTRAN and Metra as well as Northfield Township and was the former president of the Countryside Homeowners Association in Glenview. He was a lifetime supporter of the local Republican Committee and a faithful member of St. Matthews WELS Lutheran Church in Niles, IL. 

Private interment to be held at Memorial Gardens where his parents and brother are interred in Philadelphia, PA.
