Peter Schmidt, 62, of Bensenville, formerly Evergreen Park, unexpectedly passed away on June 4, 2024. Loving husband of Sharon Feeley for 35 years. Dear brother of Michael Schmidt, dear brother-in-law of Pam and her husband Bob Liss, dear brother-in-law of the late Denise Kavanagh. Treasured uncle of Denise's daughter Jennifer Kavanagh and her partner Victor Castro, and their daughter Shea Castro. Cherished cousin of Susanne (& the late Constantin) Coro, Ben (& Peggy) Viknius, and John Viknius. Dear second cousin of Matt and Steve, Ben and Greg, John and Eric, and Nick. Proprietor of SOS Transmissions Company in Stone Park, Illinois, for 40 years. Services Private. 

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Pete. A skilled private pilot (multi-engine and instrument rated), he loved soaring the skies in his plane. Pete also cherished nature at his peaceful riverside cabin, lovingly called Chipmunk Crossing. An expert in his field, he spent the majority of his years mastering the complexities of transmissions, and was one of the best around. An expert marksman at trapshooting, another favorite pastime.

Though he's gone, Pete's warm spirit and zest for life will live on. He truly lived each day to the fullest doing what he loved most. Fly high, Pete. You will be dearly missed.
