Patricia Cavallino

Patricia Cavallino, 86, of Evanston, born in Leominster MA, and formerly of Amesbury, MA, New York, NY, Summit, NJ and Winnetka, IL, passed away September 12, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert. Her children John Cavallino(George), Peter Cavallino and Sarah Cavallino McMahon(Timothy), and grandchildren Robert and Paloma McMahon. Also survived by her sister Ellen Balmer(Richard), brother Thomas Connolly(Sharon) and her Matthews siblings Charles(deceased), David(Jane), Kandee(Dennis), Robert, Suzi, and Gerry(Krista). She was the daughter of Norman and Laurena Connolly.

Patty, as she was known to family and friends, grew up in Leominster, MA and was valedictorian of her high school class. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in education and taught elementary school in Springfield, MA before she married. 

She was a long time subscriber to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She and her husband enjoyed many evenings of fine music.  Patty was a dedicated volunteer at the Chicago Botanic Gardens teaching  young children about nature and plants.  It was a true passion for her. 

A memorial service will be held at the Elliot Chapel, Westminster Place at a later date. 

Donations can be made in her memory to the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
