“The waters ran deep in his soul. He was by far the most talented in the family”. He was kind, sensitive, smart, funny and had a heart of gold. A natural musician, he taught himself to play the drums, guitar and piano, but drums were his passion. Words flowed so easily when he put ink to paper. He could write some of the most beautiful poetry; he even had one of his poems published. His first and foremost priority was always his children and his goal in life was to be the best Dad he could be. In addition to playing the drums and writing poetry, Nick loved Star Wars, the Blackhawks, the Cubs and Chicago Bulls. He loved to fish, hit a golf ball and shoot a few hoops.
He was a loving son to Joanne Domenico and the late Sam Domenico, brother to Greg Domenico, Ashley Domenico and Michelle Domenico. He was the father of Sammy Domenico and Tommy Domenico, a wonderful uncle to Ariana, Olivia and Colton, a nephew and cousin to many and a best friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Domenico, his maternal grandmother, Irene Herring, his paternal grandparents Henry and Kathleen Domenico and others who Nick held close to his heart.
Nick loved hard. Words are hard to put together. Nick, we love you so much, our hearts are shattered. You have now been reunited with those you loved and missed. We hope you are happy and at peace. Watch over your family and boys, visit them in their dreams, help to keep them safe. The world will never be the same without you.
