Michael Hampton

Michael Hampton was born on September 12, 1957, in Chicago, IL. He was the 4th child to Gertrude “Bonnie Mae” Hampton and Joe Louis Scott. 

Michael attended John B. Drake Elementary School and Wendell Phillips High School. Michael was a light to his family and friends. He was an exceptional cook and had the sense of humor of a comedian. 

Michael was called to eternal rest on April 4, 2024. He is preceded in death by his

parents, Gertrude Hampton and Joe Louis Scott, and his siblings Jerry, Ronald, Josephine, and Louis. 

He will be missed by all who knew him. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his children: Tameko, Michael, Reggie and Wenshelia “Ryan”; sisters Annie Mae, Sandra (Bobby), Lakeshia; brothers Robert (Patricia), Tracy; grandchildren: Cody, Norquida ((Eternity & Elijah)), Kevin, Dariyah, Miracle ((Da'Mario)), Nehemiah, Mikeya, Mystirous, Ma'kye, Michael Jr., Tristan, Destiny and Destin; special friend Lorraine Smith; many nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
