Maria "Betty" Sanchez de Romero, 86, of Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood and formerly of Medellín, Colombia, passed away November 1, 2024. Loving mother of Angela Romero Sanchez and the late Carlos Alberto (the late Lina) Romero; cherished abuela of Mateo Romero, Valentina Romero and Sabina Cordoba Romero; beloved dog grandma of Chanel. Adored grandma beloved by family Liliana Arango and son Simon Eastman Arango, Fernando Arango and wife Lina and their family, Olga Arango, Hector Tabares and wife Nora, Lucy Tabares, Carlos Tabares and wife Dolly, Alex Tabares and daughter Lucia Tabares, Jonathan Tabares, Christian Tabares and wife Lydia Cuellar and their children, Bryant Tabares, Lina Rangel and husband Manny and their children, Yolanda Escobar and family, Zahamara Colón and husband Richard and their children, Grace Tamayo, Luchy Tamayo, Kathy Tamayo and Alberto Sanchez and family.
