Lula Mae Friend, 77, of Schlater, Mississippi, entered into eternal life on October 25, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Jessie Friend. Loving mother of Bernard (Janet) jenkins, Emma (Winfred) Dixon, and Sharon (Roy) Pate. Cherished grandma of Lakeisha Robinson, Orlando Tyree jenkins, Imani Jenkins, Tristain Dixon, Carlandrix Alexander, Jimmy Townsend, Shanae Townsend, Kiki Townsend, Calvin Townsend, and the late Cameron Alexander. Great grandma of 9 and great-great grandma of 2. Survived by 5 brothers and 1 sister; proceeded in death by 1. Fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Longtime member of Holmes Chapel in Schlater, MS, usher and member of The Mother Board. A celebration of her life will be held at Hursen Funeral Home on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 3:30-5:30pm.
