Louis J. Monaco

Louis J. Monaco, 90, of Oak Park, Illinois, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family December 20, 2024. Louis was a longtime, beloved history teacher at CPS Foreman College and Career Academy (formerly Foreman High School). A devoted husband and father, Louis was also a lover of Opera and an active parishioner at St. Giles Catholic Church. 

Louis is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Barbara Monaco (née Rendek); loving son John Monaco and daughter Roxane Monaco Puccetti; cherished granddaughters Olivia Puccetti and Evelyn Puccetti; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Monaco, son Philip Monaco, siblings Marcello Monaco, Rita Monaco DaValle (the late Argo), Roland Monaco (the late Marie) and Lorado Monaco (the late Lucille).

Memorial Mass to take place at St. Giles Catholic Church in Oak Park, IL at a later date and time.
