Linda Walker, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at her home September 17 2024, at the age of 75. Born on August 31, 1949 in Chicago she dedicated her life to helping others, particularly through her impactful career at the Lighthouse for the Blind, where she worked tirelessly to enhance the lives of those with visual impairments.
Linda was not only a professional dedicated to her role but also a warm and nurturing soul who found immense joy in cooking for others. Her passion for preparing meals brought family and friends together, creating countless memorable moments around the dining table.
She is survived by her loving children: Jacqueline Walker, Charles Walker, Charlen Walker, and Jerome Walker. Linda's legacy continues through her grandchildren, including Corrina Walker, Denesha Clark, Kelisha Walker, Demarion Brown, and Shawana Walker, all of whom were fortunate to know her unwavering love and support. She was a beloved sister to Regina Walker.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved son, Titus Walker, and her sister Sharon Walker. She also mourned the loss of her brother, Jerome Walker, and her grandson, Thaddeus Kimble.
Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will always be remembered for her compassionate spirit and warm heart. Linda Walker leaves behind a family and a community that she deeply enriched through her kindness and dedication.
