Linda Sue Lia

Linda Sue Lia , age 75 of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, IL. 

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on October 26th, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Sonia (Innocenti) Conforti. She received her associates degree in interior design at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha,Wisconsin. She was employed as an Educational Assistant for the Kenosha Unified School District for 19 years, where she received certification as an instructor to teach elementary school students for the Title One Program. 

On November 10th, 1973 she married Ronald F. Lia at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Ronald passed away on Saturday, May 7th, 1988 at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center. 

Linda had an infectious laugh and love to write poetr of which two of her poems were published in the American Poets Society book. Linda loved to post her writings and to bring joy and smiles to people's lives. 

She loved to sing and work outside in the yard. she was the former manager for the European Flower Markets and Floral Design in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Surviving are her son, Anthony M. Lia of Mchenry, IL and her brother Ronald Conforti of Kenosha, WI.

Preceding her in death were her husband Ronald Lia and sister Shirley Maloney. 

Linda has requested prayers for her celebration of life as her remains will be cremated.
