Lawrence R. Nieves, 77, US Marine and Vietnam War Veteran of Arlington Heights, formerly of Des Plaines, Illinois and Monterrey, Mexico, unexpectedly passed on November 4th, 2023.

Longtime loving companion of Donna. Dearest brother of Mary Ann (the late Stephen) Strope, Josephine Nieves, and the late Eleanor (the late Tomas) Ramirez. Cherished uncle of Jennifer (Samuel) Cazarez, Steven Strope, Julia (Jerry) Rosales, Tomas G.(Vanessa) Ramirez, and Gina Ramirez. A fond uncle and a friend to many, Lawrence will be dearly missed.

A committal service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421
