Lawana Tharpe

Lawana Tharpe, born on August 14, 1956, Texakana, Arkansas, sadly passed on July 24, 2024. Lawana was a devoted wife to the late Robert Tharpe and a loving mother to Nowell Hildreth, Jamail Carr, and Crystal Carr, as well as the late Terri Hildreth. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Anthony Lomax Jonae, Imani Carr, Romello Carr, AJonte Ross, Cheyenne Long, Jamiysha, as well as her great-grandchildren Isiah and Cardianna. She was the daughter of the late John Otis Carr and Eerie Joyce Anderson, and sister to Eileen Smith and the late Theotis Carr. Lawana's life was rich with love and laughter surrounded by the presence of her loved ones, as she tried her best to do the right things in life. She found joy in simple pleasures including watching Wheel of Fortune and tending to her beloved plants.
