Larry Hayes, 64, of North Chicago and formerly of Zion, IL, passed away October 7, 2020. Born August 30,1956 In Kansas City MO. To the Union of the late Hardest L. Hayes & Willa M. Hayes (Finley) Larry Devoted his life to Christ at an early age At Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Zion, ILHe Was a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church In Waukegan, IL. Larry was a graduate of Zion Benton High School & Also a Licensed Barber. Larry worked for many years as a Barber In the family business in North Chicago IL. Known for is quick wit, No Nonsense demeanor & good since of Humor. Larry was beloved & will be missed by many. Loving father of the late Shafon Hayes Sr., Starla (Lionel) Ivy and David (Beth) Moore. Cherished grandfather of Shafon Jr. and Jedediha. Dear brother of Darryl (the late Patricia) and Rashurle Brown. Former wife Regina Meeks, Special Friend Michelene Bettis- Jenkins, Fond Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend to many. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
