Joyce M. Peterson, 83, Chicago, Illinois, transitioned to be with the lord on January 16, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Peterson. Loving mother of Veronica Peterson and David (LaTanya) Peterson. Cherished grandmother to Blake Peterson and Perry Gibson. Great grandmother of Amina Sky Peterson. Dear sister of Lois Johnson and the late Elizibeth Davis. Sister of Keith Watkins and the late Jerry Watkins, and Nolan Watkins. A host of cousins and friends; and special friend Adam Marsh.

Joyce accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member and graduate of Christ Universal Temple where she received many certifications. She was a High School graduate of Du Sable High School and DeVry University. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was loved by her Church family and will be missed.
