John Jacobsen

John Jacobsen, of Hampshire, Illinois and formerly of Elgin, passed away August 3, 2024. John had faced some difficult circumstances in his life but never gave up hope. He loved tending to his house plants and was a fan of hip hop. He enjoyed old school artists like KRS-One and Eazy-E. John is survived by his beloved companion Mary Lake; loving sister Mellissa Wootton and brother Jeremy Jacobsen; eight cherished nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends. John was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Betsy Jacobsen and brother Bradley Jacobsen. 

A celebration of John's life to be determined at a later date and time.
