Harold Edward Curran

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harold Edward Curran, Marine Corps Veteran,  91, of McHenry, Illinois and formerly of Chicago, Illinois who left us on October 29, 2024 after a long and wonderful life. He was the beloved husband of the late Carole (2024) for 63 years. Loving father of Scott, and cherished grandfather of Kylie. Harold was the dear brother of the late Sharon and Bill. He was the loving uncle of Paula, Joey, Julie, Michelle, Michael, and Susan, Mark, Michael, Lori, Billy and Michael. He was also the great-uncle of Brandy, Guy, Max, Quinn, Clare, Andrea, Nikki, Dylan, Joshua, Jenna, Lacy, Billy, Lee, Rhiannon and Chayton. He was a great, great-uncle and had countless friends who felt his warmth and humor. It was with great love that after his wife’s passing, his nieces Julie and Tammie were able to care for him for the remainder of his life. Harold proudly worked for many years at the Chicago Tribune. He and his wife greatly enjoyed their retirement years, surrounded by friends and family.

Harold and Carole will be laid to rest together at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery.
