Dearest grandad of Melissa and David McCollough. Cherished brother of Cynthia Merrifield, Jermelda (James) Pearson, Gregory (Darrylynn) Merrifield, and the late James, Claudia, and Bonita. Fond uncle, cousin and friend to many. George is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Merrifield. Longtime chef and valued employee of Illinois Bell (SBC) for 35 years.
