Edward Jordan

Edward Jordan turned 82 on the day of his passing April 8, 2019. Beloved husband of Norma for 49 years, loving father of Susan Jordan and the late Ken. Dearest grandpa of Ryan (Micky) Wertz, Kyle and Katelynn Wertz. Cherished brother of Sam (Lily) and the late Rosemary Liston. Eddy has always been a free spirit, leaving his home, family and friends in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a new adventure working in America back in the 1960s. He was a mason and has built & repaired many well known places but his proudest accomplishment was building his family home in Des Plaines nearly single-handedly. He could often be found planting tomatoes, pea pods and his special beets in his garden. He possessed an incredible energy and creativity, was a finder of lost treasure and could often be found tinkering away in his basement bringing his ideas to life. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of the outdoors. In retirement he could often be found fishing, biking or kayaking at Busse Woods, always with his fishing pole always in tow. He leaves behind many great stories and memories for his family and friends to remember, always choosing to live his life on his terms! He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. A celebration of his life and scattering of his ashes will be a private family memorial. Arrangements entrusted to Chicagoland Cremation Options of Schiller Park, Illinois.
