Edward Scott Aabey

Edward S. Aabey, loving son of the late Linda and Jerry Aabey, unexpectedly passed away this past Thursday. Eddie, (as his friends called him), had been quietly managing a heart concern for several years, and sadly lost the battle. Eddie grew up in Northbrook and attended Glenbrook North High School where he excelled in sports such as gymnastics and football. He loved sports and judo was his early passion; he went on to compete in the Junior Olympics. This passion continued, as he enjoyed and focused on kick boxing: both competing and teaching. Until his passing he taught kick boxing to his dedicated students. Eddie loved teaching and mentoring students of all ages.

In recent years Eddie has enjoyed his new home in Spring Grove: backyard bonfires, neighborhood friends, and his dog, Lucky Charm. Lucky was his pal! Happy to say Lucky has been adopted by a good friend. 

Eddie had a love for life and lived every day to the fullest until the end. There will not be a formal service, but please take a moment to remember all the good times we had with our friend Eddie. Rest in peace my friend.
