Christine Rose Wyszkowski

Christine Rose Wyszkowski, 77, of Park Ridge, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023.  Christine was the daughter of the late Walter Wyszkowski and Rose Szewczyk. She is survived by her sister, Kamila Comastro (the late Joseph) and her sister-in-law Kathleen (the late Henry Wyszkowski). Preceded in death by her sisters Aline (Walter) Papciak, Virginia (Leon) Szamocki, and her brothers Henry and Stanley.

Christine grew up in Chicago and attended Notre Dame High School (class of '63). After high school, she joined the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Reading, Ohio with intentions of becoming a nun.  After a change in heart two years later, she instead finished her degree in sociology at Loyola University (class of 1971).  But she remained devoted to her Catholic faith.

Christine worked as a Membership Director at the Chicago Historical Society, the Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago, the Grant Park Concert Society, and Health Care Financial Management Association. Before retiring, she was the Membership Operations Director of the International Association of Lions Clubs and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Christine loved her friends! Until her final illness, she could be found in Book Club, dining with friends, going to the theatre or playing Rummikub!   She also absolutely adored her family, including her many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and -nephews and even great grandnieces and -nephews. Christine was the family photographer and historian and made sure every Baptism, First Communion, graduation and wedding was well documented . . . much to the chagrin of her photo subjects.  But then she worked her magic to create her own version of social media - before such a term existed.  She would send the photos, (in later years she would email) to the entire family to announce any good news or special achievements. Christine kept the whole family linked together even as the physical distance between families grew.

Christine was loved. She will be missed by friends and her family.
