Christine Ann Hahne, daughter of the late John and Jeanne O'Connor, was born in Rochester, NY on February 16, 1948. She was a long-time resident of Lombard.
Christine spent her childhood living in in the South as her father served in the Army and frequently relocated.
She later moved to Illinois and graduated high school from Lake Park High School.
She met her husband Dale while enjoying herself with some girlfriends at a bar in Roselle one evening where he happened to work as a bartender. Later that evening she was asked out to breakfast following his shift, and that was the beginning of their great love story. They were united in holy matrimony at the First United Methodist Church of Lombard on August 19, 1972.
Christine was an incredible woman and most amazing mother. She was always on the go whether it was tending to her flowers and garden, cooking, baking with her grandkids, or visiting with friends. She enjoyed the ocean, sunshine and sitting on her deck. She was a force of strength, but compassionate and understanding.
She was the most loving, kind, and caring person you can talk to. Rather if it was on the topic of something positive or negative, she was always there for you.
She passed peacefully after a battle with breast cancer, which she fought with all the strength that she had left. She remained strong as her husband went to be with God, and now she joins him eternally.
She is survived by her children Kathryn (Zachary) Albert, Alicia (Andrew) Venable, and Matthew (Tina) Hahne; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Paige, Claire, Austin and Collin; brother-in-law Michael (the late Joanne) and Scott (Janice); and aunt of many.
