Casey Conrad McCowan

Casey Conrad McCowan, 43, of Chicago, formerly Antioch and Bloomington, passed away on February 10, 2025. 

Beloved son of Patricia McCowan and Patrick (Jenny) McCowan. Adored brother of Jonathon (Jesteen) Billingsley, Darrin (Rebecca) McCowan, Melissa (Gary Clark) McCowan, Kristin Smith, and is preceded in death by his brothers Tony McCowan and Ryan Smith. Proud uncle to Montre, Evelina, Kiara, Lenin, Jameson, Malachi, Ada, Sybil, Reagan (Caylee), Ava, Zaiden, Azaira, Rylan, and Vivian Mae. Cherished friend to many and no one was a stranger for long. 

Casey worked in the food service industry as a cashier, barista, chef, and manager, He was a talented musician who shared his love of music with friends far and wide. He took his guitar everywhere and was always ready for a jam session. He loved the outdoors and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Northeastern Illinois University. In the summers, you could find him gardening in the Lincoln Square Community Garden.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Pleasant House Pub in Chicago.
