Anne Hammond

Anne (Wiebenson) Hammond of Solon, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95. She is survived by her sons, Doug Holmes, Norm Holmes (and his wife Mia Holmes),her daughter Barb Curran and her two grandsons Alex and Mac Curran. She seemed indomitable, living 95 years in exactly the way she wanted. She loved science, theater, a good silly joke (which she would repeat…a lot), and she was always up for any activity. She played tennis well into her 70’s, danced into her 80’s, became vegan at 85, gardened and exercised everyday into her 90’s. She loved meeting the neighbors and talking to people while walking her favorite dogs. She was eccentric, endearing, kind, loyal, and always full of life. We will all miss her, but are happy she was able to live a life undiminished all the way up to the end. She did not want a service or funeral, so please join us in just remembering her well.
