Shirley Forbes, 69, of Blue Island and formerly of the North Side of Chicago, after a long illness, transitioned to be with the Lord on March 14, 2020. Loving mother of Valencia (fiancé Christopher) Rice, Valerie (Howard) Grace, and Takeshia (Anthony) Monroe. Cherished Granny of 11. Great-grandmother of 6. Dearest sister of Rose Rice, Linda Rice, Carzelle (Deborah) Rice, Felicia Rice, Bonnie Baker, Renee (Elijah) Snow, Ambrose Clayton, Kevin Clayton, and the late Gregory Rice and Marie Jenkins.
